Texting is optional. You can use Writeoff entirely in the app and never opt in. If you do opt in, here is exactly what you get.
- Assistant replies
- You text Writeoff to log a receipt, ask what you owe, or tell the assistant to categorize, reconcile, or file something. Writeoff texts back.
- Receipt confirmations
- Send a photo of a receipt by MMS and get back what was captured and where it landed in your books.
- Account notifications
- Quarterly estimate reminders, filing deadlines, a bank connection that dropped, transactions waiting on your review.
- Security codes
- One-time passcodes when you sign in or change something sensitive on your account.
Who sends them: WriteOff Inc., operating as Writeoff.
How often: Message frequency varies and depends on how you use the service. Most users receive fewer than 20 messages per month.
Cost: Writeoff does not charge for text messages. Message and data rates may apply.
To stop: Reply STOP to any message to opt out. You will receive one confirmation message and no further messages after that.
