End-to-End Encryption
All data encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Your financial data is never stored in plaintext.
Read-Only Bank Access
We connect via Plaid with read-only access. Writeoff can never initiate transactions, move money, or modify your accounts.
PII Detection Pipeline
Automated scanning detects and flags personally identifiable information to prevent accidental exposure in reports or exports.
Audit Defense Logging
Every AI recommendation and bookkeeping action is permanently logged with timestamps. Your paper trail is always intact.
Clear Disclaimers
Writeoff is bookkeeping software, not a licensed tax preparer. Every estimate and recommendation carries that disclaimer and, where possible, a citation to the underlying IRS guidance.
